Coffee Wedding Favors Guests Can Identify and Take Home

Plan coffee wedding favor packaging with clear names, useful coffee details and a repeatable assembly method. Compare individual and couple-sized favors.

Coffee wedding favors work best when a guest can tell what is inside, who it is from and how to use it after the celebration. Begin with the coffee format and guest plan. The label can then carry the couple’s story without making the bag look like an unidentified decoration.

01

Choose the guest unit before counting bags

Decide whether the favor is for one guest, one couple or one place setting. For an illustrative event with 80 guests receiving one bag each, make an assembly plan for 80 finished favors plus a chosen allowance for replacements. If favors are shared by household, count from the household list instead.

Agree the contents and package with the roaster or coffee supplier. Ask how the filled bags should be stored and when they should be packed for the event. Keep those instructions with your assembly plan so the design schedule fits the coffee schedule.

02

Put the personal message beside useful coffee details

On the front, give the couple’s names and date a clear place, then identify the contents. Whole bean and ground coffee should be easy to distinguish if you offer both. Use the wording and brew information confirmed by your supplier for that coffee.

For example, a front might read Maya & Alex, 14 June, followed by Breakfast Coffee and Ground Coffee. A short thank-you can go below. This is sample wording for a layout, so replace every detail and review the information your finished pack needs.

03

Proof the label on the final filled bag

Use the event’s longest names when making the first paper proof. Check the label below the closure and clear of folds or a valve. A narrow ribbon around a pouch may change how it stands, so include it in the packed sample before approving the layout.

Place the favor on an actual place-setting mockup or a table of similar size. Step back and check that the couple’s names read without the bag having to be lifted. Photograph it from the angle you expect to use for the wedding details photos.

04

Make the assembly sequence easy to repeat

Set up separate areas for unlabeled packs, approved finished packs and any item that needs checking. Keep a reference favor on the table. Apply labels at the same measured position and count completed favors into the boxes used for transport.

Put a copy of the quantity plan in the transport box and name the person who will set out the favors. If you offer two coffee options, give that person a simple display note. Guests should find the same clear choice at the venue that you planned on the label.
